Business Analyst I

B R I E FP O S I T I O ND E S C R I P T I O N :
Position Summary:
This is a mid-level purchasing position with opportunity for growth. This position requires a highly organized, detail oriented individual with general purchasing knowledge and analytical skills.

Essential Functions:
· Manage existing and new vendor relationships and contracts.
· Analyze spend trends for new areas to streamline purchasing practices.
· Analyze existing contracts to determine if they are effective and being utilized
· Generate bid documents, collect and analyze RFP responses, and make recommendations to management
· Perform system maintenance on the following systems: Purchasing System, Lease Database, & Travel Booking Tool.
· Manage company’s Equipment Lease Program.
· Develop, validate, and update reports using report writing tools such as Crystal Reports and Excel.
· Provide Customer Support & e-mail communications for field operations and corporate departments.
· Create User Manuals and provide training sessions as needed.
· Organize, archive, and save all department documentation & databases.
· Invoice Discrepancies & Processing
· Work with other departments to communicate and resolve issues.
· Perform Sarbanes Oxley controls for the department.

Additional Duties:
· Work closely with the National Purchasing Manager on special projects and day-to-day activities.
· Coordinates activities with field purchasing to maximize profits.
· May require occasional travel

Qualifications:
· Strong attention to details, highly organized, basic analytical skills and self-motivated.
· Demonstrate professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with a high level of detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work with and build relationships with other corporate departments and field operations.
· Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with an ERP system a plus (i.e. JD Edwards). Experience with Crystal Reports or Excel Querying tools a plus.

Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree and/or two-five years experience in related field.
