Mechanic

B R I E FP O S I T I O ND E S C R I P T I O N :
Position Summary:
Performs scheduled preventative maintenance based on Company required guidelines, such as mileage and/or time on all vehicles owned by the Company, and perform services per Company approved forms.

Essential Functions:
Follows strict schedules of maintenance
Performs the required maintenance schedules in a timely manner
Inspects vehicles for possible other failures or potential problems
Logs daily craftsman hours on each work order
Issues parts to assigned work orders on each service in computer system\
Daily shop clean up
Test drives each vehicle over the approved route, which includes a combination of city streets and highways for no less than five miles
All other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:
Current state driver’s license
Satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s Driving Policy
At least six to twelve months experience as a mechanic in both gasoline and diesel engines, electrical, brakes, suspension systems, transmissions and A/C, or equivalent combination of
education or experience

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:
Works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles (potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne and airborne pathogens), toxic or
caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration
Noise level can be very loud at times
May work irregular schedule/hours
