 B R I E F P O S I T I O N D E S C R I P T I O N :
  Southwest Ambulance provides general medical care and treatment to patients in both emergent and non-emergent settings as defined by the Arizona Department of Health Services Scope of Practice for Paramedic.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Neatly and accurately document pertinent patient information on ambulance run tickets, patient refusal forms, and transport forms.
Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide highest level of patient care, excellent communication and customer service skills.
Maintain safe and healthy workplace in accordance to the standards set forth by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and the Southwest Ambulance Standard Operating Procedures.
Exhibit ability to perform ALS functions, following protocols set forth by the State of Arizona.
Qualifications:
National Registry certification card
Current AZ State DHS Paramedic certification card
Current ACLS card
Current CPR Pro card
Current PALS/PEPP card
Current State of Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable 60-month record per company policy
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds when needed and move object/materials to locations that might be up to 100 feet away.
Cognitive/Psychosocial Requirements:
Ideal Candidates/Individuals for this position will have the ability to follow simple and complex written and verbal instructions.
Working Conditions:
Individuals must be able to withstand varied environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold and moisture.
Southwest Ambulance is a 365, 24/hr. per day, 7day per week operation. This could include and is not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
