  Applicant must have a high school diploma or General Education Degree [GED]; It is preferred that applicant has 1-2 years of EMS and/or dispatch related experience/training including knowledge of CAD system software; Must possess strong background in radio communications systems and have geographical knowledge of Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Cattaraugus and Wyoming Counties; Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Receiving incoming telephone calls; channel non-emergency calls to appropriate personnel; dispatch vehicles to emergency and non-emergency calls; maintain telecommunication contact with mobile and stationary units; enlist services of other protective agencies, provide direction to on scene personnel; perform basic data entry; prepare and complete reports for Managers and Supervisors highlighting progress, problems and statistics.
