 ATS-Patient Couier-Red Van
B R I E F P O S I T I O N D E S C R I P T I O N :
 Responsible for providing transportation for clients throughout the valley that are in the need of wheelchair, or stretcher service. This position requires a lot of driving and hands on lifting and caring for individuals.
Essential Functions:
Ensure accurate and timely transport of patients to facilities and pre-arranged treatment centers as assigned. Ideal individual(s) must present a professional appearance and attitude at all times. This includes however is not limited to interactions with co-workers, vendors and customers. Communicate effectively with other departments in person or via radio. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
MUST be at least 21 years of age when applying and currently hold the following certifications/identifications in order to be considered for this position.
CPR Pro certification – Current
State of Arizona Driver License - Current
Excellent Customer Service (for internal and external customers)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPPA regulations.
A 60-month acceptable driving record per Southwest Ambulance company policy.
High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds when needed and move object/materials to locations that might be up to 100 feet away.
Cognitive/Psychosocial Requirements:
Ideal Candidates will have the ability to follow simple and complex written and verbal instructions. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the US English language
Working Conditions:
Regularly works in outside weather and is regularly exposed to wet or dry conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat.
Works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles (potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne and airborne pathogens), toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. Noise level can be very loud at times. Possible involvement in potentially dangerous situations (i.e.: violent patients, crime scenes, etc.). May work an irregular schedule/hours which includes and is not limited to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Consideration will NOT be given to prior schedules: School, Other Employment, etc...
